Welcome to RACE2ACURE! This site is dedicated to all our friends and families who's lives have been touched by cancer. The sad fact is cancer touches everyone, nearly 1 in 2 men and 1 in 3 women will develop cancer in their lifetime and we must find a cure. If you think it can't happen to you, think again. Cancer kills 560,000 Americans a year, or more than 1,500 a day and 1.4 million Americans are expected to be diagnosed with cancer this year. Although these numbers are staggering, there are more than 10.5 million cancer survivors in the United States today and the good news is this number has more than tripled in the last 30 years.
And I'm living proof of that. As a four time cancer survivor, I am here today, cancer free, thanks to medical break throughs made possible by grants and funding from groups like the Lance Armstrong Foundation.
And to support this great organization, Truespirit Racing will be entering the 2009 Baja 1000 to raise funds for LAF under the Race2acure banner. So please join us at Truespirit Racing and the Lance Armstrong Foundation as we race through the desert of Baja California in an effort to bring cancer awareness and raise donations doing what we love most, racing the Baja.
